Protein packed falafel

One of my favourite meals I love vegetarian food having been one for about 20 years until I had my kids and started to eat lean meat and fish as protein and fish are very beneficial for your health and for depression in particular.

But I love chickpeas and everything made from them including hummus and falafel. Chickpeas are a great source of protein for those who don’t eat meat.

They are so versatile so if you’re allergic to toad you can roast chickpeas in the oven add spices or sweeten them with honey and cinnamon you can also cover them in dark choc for a healthy snack, you can also make chickpea pancakes using chickpea flour and you can also get snacks made from chickpeas the kids love.

So I had a wrap with some

hummus

4 falafel balls

A bit of green pesto

Rocket and spinach

Sunflower and pumpkin seeds

2 slices of feta cheese

Greek yogurt

So yummy and so filling

These are also good for snacks, a wrap or for a salad for work
