Cosy comforts

I bought a new duvet as part of the Livelagon project it is do lovely and warm but not too warm just right as it says in the description its breathable so keeps your body at right temp so I must say I am still in bed and had an amazing nights sleep it was called rodtoppa 12tog £50 amazing I got the best nights sleep ever no jokes would def recommend.

Are you nuts

I made some almond nut butter added some chai latte powder as I didn’t have vanilla powder its yum you just put in oven for 10 mins to toast then put in blender for 10-20 mins until it’s like a paste then pop into one of ikeas lovely storage jars. Lovely on a spoon or to use in Ella’s cooking and sweet treats going to try a choc nut butter for the kids.

My 2 year old loved it as you can see trying to ween her off the choc.

Stocking up

I’ve done my second shop with my £50 budget well I did go £20 over but I needed a bottle of gin.

tea was a bit of a rush so had a pot of couscous 49p with rocket in fridge and left over sweet potato chips and some houmous meal for £1.75 and delicious also had sweet potato chips and chicken Parmesan salad at the vestry in Belfast amazing place could have stayed all day and cheap lunch and amazing company

well I did my first big shop for my new diet so although £100 I have most of the stock I need to keep me going for a few months I’m hoping to cut my bill down to £50 a month I know the meat out your bill up as I used to be a vegetarian so groceries used to be really cheap although I’ve 2 kids now.

so I’m ready for my Ella recipes I’ve got my spiralised pumpkin and courgette sorry too lazy to try my spiraliser but will  next time if I like. I don’t eat much meat but would eat fish chicken and turkey and you can get turkey sausages and bacon and I would use it in bolognese, lasagne, to make burgers and meatballs great source of protein and the leanest of meats. I’ve got lots of green rocket I love kale and spinach all good for iron some lentils and beans nuts and seeds good for mornings and for nut butter or using sesame seeds instead of breadcrumbs to cover things, you can grind nuts buckwheat quinoa polenta basically any bean or grain to make flour. I have my tomatoes for vit c and oranges. I love bananas God carb gives you energy and fills you up some mango to liven up salads lemon for dressings, berries which are low in fat and good for energy and blueberries are actually supposed to help break down fat for energy, nuts are also great for snacks and Ella has a lovely spiced but recipe I have to try out, flat breads which are only 100xal per slice and yummy with falafel and salad humours one of our face with carrot sticks and as a dressing or dip some high fibre   bran great for filling you up and helps with digestion and is less expensive than a colonic erigation great with bananas and some almond or coconut milk or even as a coating or as a snack some buckwheat flour for baking and maple syrup for my natural sweetener and coconut oil for cooking and I love yogurts good for the guy which is very important for our moods and the running of our whole body I love approach coconut yogurt and the activia vanilla yogurts are delicious and really low in fat I eat in mornin with fruit and cereal or as a dessert if you love ice cream try soft froZen ice cream a lot healthier. The chai seeds are for cooking or a coating or for making delicious desserts.

so now I have the ingredients and the Iove. I had better make a few things.

Leftover lunch

Every night I always have leftovers from the kids tea so I throw this into a lunch box with some salad and something else so it was sausages and Mash and veg for tea and the sausages were turkey so a lot lower in fat. I chopped up the sausage and mixed in with some quinoa and buckwheat which is full of protein and low in fat and boosts energy as well easy fast and sustainable lunch.

Healthy eating begins

imageso I am trying my best to be sustainable turning off lights after the kids etc and finally got my new shiny oven in it is digital with 21 cooking settings with steam function for faster cooking and healthy meals with more vitamins left in. The kids loved the polystyrene and had lots of fun making a mess but I made them clear up can’t wait to start cooking .

Help with the little ones

imageIKEA is brilliant for kids for their products as well as a fun day out my kids love it especially when they get something. I bought a few small things from IKEA and created a bit of a control centre for my calender shopping list kids pics and school bags they used to lie in front of the radiator making the kitchen look a mess just need to add a notice board. I used LOSJON £4.75 for a 5 pack this is on the side of my kitchen cupboard.

Hats and scarves are a real pain so I got an over the door hanger for these on the front hall emus den £1.95 but have seen vemund single hook £1.50 which would fit over a radiator ideal for bags for all the kids to hang over radiator to be prepared for the next day or for the week or for hats and scarves.

Healthy tips for burning fat and achieving health happiness and a 6 pack after a baby

Running is the fastest way to burn fat

Women are under so much pressure to stay slim during pregnant and to get back into their jeans straight after. Being a fitness and health freak pregnancy was not an easy transition but I continued to exercise throughout being a runner I felt it was too risky and after having trouble falling pregnant I didn’t want to take the risk so I went on the exercise bike everyday while I caught up on my programmes. We often make excuses we don’t have time for exercise as busy working mums but it is good for our mood to ward off depression helps with health and also confidence. Our bodies do change but I found mine changed for the better and still had my six pack after I had my 2 babies the miracles of babies. We need to listen to our bodies and give them what they need but don’t go overboard on the bad stuff. I am just an ordinary working mum but I manage to stay trim for myself and to enjoy the amazing fashion that’s out there. You just need to get into a good routine the best time is morning when kids are still asleep I know it’s hard getting up that bit earlier in the morning g but will be worth it it will help you cope with the kids mad morning routine and your obstacle course to work it will give you strength and confidence and make you feel so amazed at yourself for getting up exercising leaving kids off to work then do a days work make tea clean up and get kids to bed and it helps you to sleep better. The key to losing weight is not to starve ourselves I tried that it just slows your metabolism down taking your body to break down the fats for energy and ending up storing more. So eat constantly but eat the right foods in the right quantities and you’ll get there. I didn’t put any weight on during my pregnancies but bit glory babies were healthy and apart from a few pounds and my tummy to get back in I didn’t struggle but you tummy doesn’t pop back in straight away it has been stretched and the womb has to contract back in if you do Timmy exercises too soon you could end up with wrecking your muscles. Join me daily for help and tips to get you back in shape and coping with life as a mother.

Symptoms of depression

the symptoms of depression are very hard to identify if a doctor tries to identify if you are depressed or a midwife they ask do you feel like you might harm yourself or baby of course you font but do they want to wait until you do?..

how do you know you’re depressed?

feeling tired do you struggle to get out of bed every morning

the stigma is if you’re depressed you cant get out of bed in the morning I struggle every morning but I have very rarely given in as I never wanted to be depressed I just wanted to be normal and having responsibilities like a mortgage or kids is the motivation I needed to get my bum out of bed every morning

obsessed with shopping having certain things that you had to have trawling websites for weeks until you found it at the right price why well again it’s for the drugs when we shop we produce the harmone dopamine its a real high and you get a real buzz and makes you feel good but after every high there’s a low did I need that could I afford that of course not then anxiety kicks in, you hide your purchases, hide bank statements and just feel guilty was it worth the answer is yes why is the country in such debt because we’re DEPRESSED

low self esteem and self worth

ive always had low confidence and self worth could never understand why I felt like I did but these feelings brought me to a real low and a life long eating dusorder that  ruled my life.

unable to laugh, sing, smile, being unsocial, anxious all the time, irritable, moody, problems sleeping, over analysing things, being irrational, worrying, obsessed with organising and planning, low voice, scared of those in authority, confrontation and criticism.

Deal with it now go to your doc, ring a helpline or counsellor to help understand what treatment is best for you, listen to your body and mind and don’t let depression control your life and kill your personality and you can enjoy life again.
